Lecturers from California State University, Fresno Visited Araragatsotn AAC
On 6 July 2010, Prof. Barlow Der Mugrdechian, coordinator of the Armenian Studies Program and director of the Center for Armenian Studies at Fresno State University, Dr. Bill Erysian is currently serving as Director of Grants and International Projects for the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at Fresno State University, as well as Mr. Eduardo Flores, Deputy Chief of Party at the USAID MAAC Activity and Mr. Sergey Sargsyan, Program Coordinator of Anticorruption Centers Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC) Activity visited the AAC of Aragatsotn Marz of the RA, representatives of Aragatsotn Marz AAC staff as well as the lawyers of Talin and Ashtarak AARCs attended the meeting as well.
During the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the structure of the AAC, as well as the responsibilities and functions of the staff members with regard to each provided legal consultancy and advocacy service. Further, Miss M. Hepoyan, Coordinator of the AAC introduced some successful cases solved by the Center, as well as the implemented reforms in different spheres. The participants discussed long-term and short-term programs and the anticipated results, as well as the cooperation with the governmental bodies.
At the end of the meeting, the AAC staff presented the booklet of success stories of the AAC to the honorable guests.
